Police search for missing North East girl, 11, as concern for her welfare grows

Police have appealed for help in finding a missing 11-year-old girl who was last seen at a North East bus station, as concern for her welfare grows.

Daysi Blackburn, 11, was reported missing yesterday (Wednesday) and was last seen in the area of Hexham Bus Station just before 8.30am this morning (Thursday, June 27)).

Various enquiries have been ongoing ever since to locate her. However, police and Daysi’s family are growing increasingly concerned.

Officers are now asking anyone who may have information on Daysi’s whereabouts, no matter how small, to contact them.

Daysi is described as 5ft tall, of medium build, pale complexion with shoulder-length brown hair.

She is believed to be wearing a light green hooded jumper, black body warmer, black trousers and black trainers. Daysi could also be carrying a JD bag.

Anyone with information on where Daysi might be should call Northumbria Police on 101, quoting log number NP-20240626-0946.
