Police stop several drivers during speed checks on Greenock's Esplanade

POLICE say several drivers were stopped as officers carried out speed checks in Greenock.

Officers were recently deployed to the town’s Esplanade as part of a speeding initiative.

A Police Scotland Renfrewshire and Inverclyde spokesperson said: “A number of drivers were stopped during their time there.

"Further locations in Inverclyde have been identified and will be visited by local officers carrying out speed checks.”
