The star plans to give the likes of Tetley and PG Tips a run for their money by releasing an assortment of healthy flavoured teas.

Suddenly our morning brew is looking a lot more exciting as Gareth’s biodegradable teabags will be filled with real coconut and mixed with a variety of flavours including Coconut, Coconut and Cranberry, Coconut Ginger and Turmeric.

He wrote on Twitter: “Good morning! Please all follow my new venture @cuppanuttea – a range of healthy coconut tea :-)”

Then added: “I am thrilled to announce the launch of a range of teas filled with health bursting properties with real coconut as its main ingredient.

“Spurred on by my love of coconut and my continuing desire for a healthy lifestyle I often experimented in my kitchen for fun never thinking that one day my teas could become a reality.”

The unique properties of the tea include no caffeine or hidden ingredients, just pure, raw goodness.

Gaz, who won over the hearts of the nation in 2001’s Pop Idol, continues to have a passion for music too.

The singer is currently starring as Willard in the hit musical Footloose - and now he will have something to sip in his dressing room backstage.

In the meantime, our mugs have formed an orderly queue… <3
