Popular new cafe opens at Merry Hill with special £2.85 meal deals

A new Greggs has just opened in the Black Country - and there's year-round special meal deals to tuck into. The new Merry Hill shop and takeaway is stocking all the Greggs favourites you'd expect, such as those classic steak bakes, hot sausage rolls and vegan rolls.

All freshly prepared in house, diners can enjoy breakfast combos until 11m each day. Choose from a brekkie baguette or rolls with a hot drink or Fair trade orange juice.

But it was the hot food offer later in the day that caught our eye. After 4pm, customers can pick up any pizza slice with any drink from just £2.85 instead of the usual £3.50. The menu includes Pepperoni, Spicy Mexican Chicken, Spicy Veg, Pepperoni Hot Shot and Margherita.

The new shop offers 'comfortable indoor seating' plus a Click + Collect service via the Greggs App so you can skip the queues. And, for every nine purchases, app users can get one free. New app users also receive a free hot drink of their choice upon registration plus a free sweet treat to celebrate their birthday each year.

Shop Manager Lyndsey Broome said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop. We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”

Greggs has launched two brand-new pasta pots - Piri Piri Chicken Pasta and Pesto & Mozzarella Pasta. There are also some old faves returning with new and improved recipes. Try Sweet Potato Bhaji & Rice, Smoky Cajun Rice with BBQ Chicken & Sweetcorn Fritters, Feta & Tomato Pasta and Chicken & Bacon Pasta. These dishes form part of Greggs’ Balanced Choice range, meaning they’re 400 calories or less – a great choice to satisfy lunchtime cravings.

Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director for Greggs, said: “Our new shop in Merry Hill has brought three new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”

The opening hours are 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sundays.

Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill, added: "It’s fantastic to see a brand like Greggs that is so popular with our visitors invest in even more space at Merry Hill. This is the latest example of popular and emerging food and drinks brands choosing the centre to grow their presence, following on from the recent openings of wagamama, ASK Italian Wingstop, and Sides, with smash burger specialists Boo coming soon.

“It’s an exciting time at the centre as we continue to evolve our fashion, food and drink, and leisure offering, while delivering hours and hours of entertainment, to expand how friends and family can spend their time at Merry Hill.”
