A disco for adults who love to dance with people their age is coming to Colchester's Charter Hall next month.

Discos for Grown Ups plays 70s, 80s and 90s classics.

Featuring disco, soul and pop vinyl tunes, the popular disco party was created by Simon Stanford from Nottingham after noticing the lack of dancing in the nightlife scene.

In the past three years, Dancing for Grown Ups have hosted pop-up parties all over the UK - with some in stunning ballroom venues.

Colchester is stop number nine on the current tour, which kicked off last week and runs until December.

The event is designed to be a fun place to boogie for grown-ups who love to dance with people their own age.

Charter Hall will be lit by a light and laser show, with dancers on the stage and free glow sticks and retro sweets for everyone.

The ‘top tunes’ list includes Chic, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Madonna, Prince, the Bee Gees, Abba, Shalamar, Oyssey, Stevie Wonder, Erasure, Michael Jackson, Barry White, Wham and many more.
