Popular Edinburgh dessert spot opens second location by Meadows

A popular Edinburgh dessert spot is launching their second location in the city, right by the Meadows.

SoftCore first opened up at Edinburgh Street Food last year, as the market's sole dessert server. Now, they're opening their doors on Marchmont Road.

To celebrate, they're giving away 100 portions of soft serve ice cream to the first 100 customers. The new spot will be serving up SoftCore's iconic cookies, ice cream sundaes and hot cookie dough.

SoftCore’s Marketing Manager, Daniela Wolniak, said, “We are very excited for our second SoftCore location and think Marchmont is just perfect for it. Summer, long days, barbecues in Bruntsfield Links, walks down the Meadows… All made even better with homemade ice cream.

"It just brings all the feels of nostalgia, and we can’t wait to share our handcrafted treats with the locals.”

SoftCore is the sister brand of Edinburgh bao chain Bundits, who launched as a pop-up in February 2021.

The Marchmont spot will be open from June 29, from 11am until 6pm every day. They're launching with vanilla or a miso and caramel ice cream flavours, as well as caramel crunch, strawberries and cream or a tiramisu boba sundae.
