The 'prettiest villages in Devon' revealed

Devon is home to some of the prettiest villages in England. With its beautiful coastlines, wild moorlands, gardens, and beaches, Devon has been described as one of the leading destinations for UK staycations.

The county even has its own Devon Day on Tuesday, June 4. To celebrate this national day, Marsdens Devon Cottages has picked its top six prettiest villages in Devon.

Here are the six as chosen by the holiday accommodation provider and what they had to say about them:

Clovelly

Clovelly is the jewel of the North Devon coast. To describe it as a pretty Devon village almost does the place a disservice – it’s beyond pretty. Clovelly is an exemplar of its kind, defined by its many narrow lanes lined with whitewashed stone cottages cascading down to a picturesque harbour.
