Sometimes a deal that seems too good to be true is, in fact, true. This is one of those times: During the entire month of January, Amazon is giving away a whopping ten PC games and tons of free loot to Amazon Prime members. Not a member? Believe it or not, you can still get the goods. Sign up for the free 30-day Prime trial here, and you can take advantage of this free offer. Once the trial is over, you can either subscribe to Amazon Prime for $13 a month (or $119 a year) or just cancel altogether. No hard feelings.

Fans of Twitch might remember all the free games they used to give out. Good news: they still do! It's just under a different name now: Prime Gaming. Here's the deal: Every month, Amazon Prime doles out on-the-house video games. The exact titles vary from month to month, and sometimes there are duplicates — but that just means you have a chance to pick something up if you missed it before!

And even if you cancel the service, you can keep the games in your digital library. It's an amazing deal!

On top of that, you can get a ton of in-game gear, too (typically for various game systems like PS4, Xbox and PC). Currencies, cosmetic bonus packs and much more are all part of the Prime Gaming package. Right now, you can get Champion Shards, Mythic Essence, and a lot more in the Prime Gaming Capsule for League of Legends, weapon blueprints for Call of Duty, and even booster packs for Genshin Impact. That's not all, either — there are dozens of rewards for in-game currency, even for mobile games like Candy Crush.

This is an SNK-heavy month for Amazon. Metal Slug 3 is another title from SNK with classic run-and-gun gameplay that's been remade and rereleased numerous times over the years — even on iPhone and Android devices. If that doesn't speak to its popularity, I don't know what will. Part of the appeal lies in the pixel-dot graphic style, but the rest of the draw is all in the gameplay. It's a fun game that offers multiple difficulty levels so you can have as little or as much of a challenge as you like.

As the seventh entry in the Fatal Fury series, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers introduces a few new gameplay elements and refines previous ones. Fighting game fans will get a lot of mileage out of the double-plane arena as they move to the foreground and back to dodge attacks and close the distance between themselves and their opponents. Another SNK title, this fighter offers a nice challenge and an interesting change of pace.

When it comes to weapon-based fighters (versus something like Street Fighter), few titles are more renowned than The Last Blade 2. The game improves upon the systems introduced in the previous title, introduces a story mode, and — thanks to modern re-releases — has an online multiplayer mode so that you can find opponents from all over the globe.

King of Fighters was SNK's answer to the runaway success of Street Fighter, and the 2003 release was one of the more popular entries in the franchise. Not only did it introduce a new character, but it allowed players to swap characters in and out for faster gameplay. If you're a fan of traditional fighting games, King of Fighters 2003 will scratch that itch.
