Prince Harry 'made certain demands' for meeting with King Charles during UK visit

King Charles has reportedly declined to meet with Prince Harry, who is currently in London for the Invictus Games.

This comes after the Duke of Sussex allegedly made "difficult demands" about the conditions of their meeting, according to Royal expert Charlotte Griffiths.

Prince Harry returned to the UK on Tuesday amidst speculation that he would reunite with his father, reports the Mirror.

However, a spokesperson has confirmed that this will not be happening.

Charlotte Griffiths suggested on GB News that the decision was influenced by "difficult" negotiations, claiming that Harry had specific requests about who could and couldn't be present at their meeting.

Griffiths also hinted at "other forces" potentially influencing Charles' decision not to meet with his son, suggesting: "William may have had a thought about how this meeting should be conducted or whether it should be conducted at all."

She added: "We know that Charles likes to meet Harry with Camilla in the room which isn't always a popular decision. Harry was without his wife as well, so this was fraught with difficulty."

A spokesperson for Prince Harry has confirmed that he will not be meeting with King Charles III during his current visit to the UK. The statement read: "In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty's full programme."

"The duke of course is understanding of his father's diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."

Instead of a family reunion, Prince Harry will be attending a service at St Paul's Cathedral this evening to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex, who co-founded the international sporting event in 2014, aims to support injured servicemen and women through competitive sports.

Following his engagements in the UK, he is set to travel to Nigeria with Meghan Markle for discussions related to the games.

Despite a well-documented strained relationship with his father, Prince Harry did return to the UK in February for a brief meeting with the King after news emerged of His Majesty's cancer diagnosis. They spent 30 minutes together at Clarence House before the Duke returned to the United States.
