The couple, who currently reside in Nottingham Cottage which sits in the grounds of Kensington Palace, are eyeing up Beaconsfield Farm in the village of Great Tew.
And the run-down Roman villa is just five miles from Chipping Norton so the pair may soon become neighbours with David and Victoria Beckham, who are currently renovating a £5 million property nearby.
But according to local residents, the farm is in need of some serious TLC as a source revealed: “The understanding is that Harry’s seriously thinking of taking on Beaconsfield Farm. It’s a right old mess at the moment though – it’s full of mud. It’s a couple of barns I think. He’ll have to do it up.”
They continued, “All I know is Harry is buying in the area. I wouldn’t want to say anything more than that.”
And if the couple do decide to relocate to the countryside, they will be just a short drive away from celebrity haunt, Soho Farmhouse, where they enjoyed a handful of secret dates last year.
Kensington Palace has yet to comment on the rumoured move.
