Prince William and Kate return to royal duties after summer holidays
Prince William and Kate have made a return to the royal circuit as summer draws to an end. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge carried out their first joint engagement after a month off, which saw them go on holiday to France with their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
Fresh-faced and eager to champion their causes, William and Kate arrived in Luton on Wednesday morning. The couple took part in three engagements that reflect their continued support for mental health, as well as hospice care. Kate recently stated that she and William would not hesitate to seek professional help for their children if they needed it.
The first stop took them to Bute Mills where the royals met local organisations doing ground-breaking work with young people, with a focus on mental health.

The newly renovated building serves as the new home for Youthscape. William and Kate, who embraced the sunshine in a blue and white L.K. Bennett dress, were given a tour of the facilities and an introduction to the charity.
The royals met young people who use the charity's drop-in centre. The future King joined in on a game of FIFA and scored for his football team Aston Villa, but rushed off when he saw that Kate had moved on. The pair tucked into cookies as they watched a cookery demonstration, and also sat down with Holly and Ellis, two teenagers who explained how the charity has helped them in times of need.
William and Kate were shown the Innovation Wall, where the charity develops new ideas and models. Before leaving, they unveiled a wall to commemorate the official opening of Youthscape's new home.

William and Kate, both 34, will then visit Keech Hospice Care, where they will meet families, friends and volunteers of the hospice which supports both children and adults. The royals will attend a reception where they will unveil a plaque and cut a cake to mark 25 years of the adult hospice.
Their final engagement will take the Duke and Duchess to manufacturing giants Hayward Tyler, whose key products include the boiler circulating pump and wet-wound motors. William and Kate will present the company with The Queen's Award for Enterprise (International Trade) and will open their newly built Centre of Excellence.
They will walk the production line and meet graduates, apprentices and staff members, before presenting the award.
