Princess Beatrice's This Morning interview held 'secret plea' to King Charles

Viewers were delighted when Princess Beatrice made a rare appearance on This Morning earlier this week, as a Royal expert has hinted she made a secret plea to King Charles during the chat.

The 35-year-old joined the ITV show live via video link from New York on Monday to chat to hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle. She even gave a brief update on her mum Sarah Ferguson's health during the candid chat following her cancer news.

"She's doing really well, thank you Josie. She had a bumpy health scare last year but she's all clear now. But I think at 64, she's thriving, she's been through so much, but now she's coming into her own", Princess Beatrice explained reports the Mirror.

She added during the ITV interview: "We are just reminded when any parent or individual has a health scenario, you really need to get the checks that you need to get as early as you possibly can. And both my sister and I are so proud of her for taking those steps to get those checks."

Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with malignant melanoma earlier this year after having several moles removed - one of which was cancerous. A spokesman for the Duchess said she remained in "good spirits" despite the diagnosis.

During the first live TV interview, the mum-of-two also spoke of her latest project with the Outward Bound Trust which saw her jet off to America.

The educational charity held a fond place in her late grandfather, Prince Philip's heart. According to Royal experts, this was a key sign to the King she is ready and willing to take on more duties in the monarchy.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, biographer and royal commentator Phil Dampier suggested that Princess Beatrice's interview was somewhat of a nudge to her uncle, King Charles III, as he claimed: "I get the impression Beatrice and Eugenie are stepping up their charity work, and dropping subtle hints to the King that they would be willing to take on some royal duties if asked."

"The King recently took over some 300 patronages from his mother and father, but it’s a big workload, especially as he’s battling cancer", Phil added.

"Done carefully with Palace approval, I think it could be arranged so that they [Beatrice and Eugenie] take on some non-controversial roles with worthy causes like hospitals, schools and even the military."
