She's previously been described by her mum as 'the one in charge' so it's no surprise that Princess Charlotte has grown in confidence over the years. The young princess often charms fans on royal outings and even keeps her two brothers in line.

Her assertive nature was once seen during the annual Christmas Day Service. She was just four at the time when she joined mum Catherine, Princess of Wales after the service to speak to well wishers in 2019.

Outside the church, Princess Charlotte was handed a bunch of white roses - and she clearly took a liking to them. Aides usually take charge of bouquets so the Royal family can continue talking to members of the public.

But when an aide offered to carry the flowers for the young princess, she firmly shook her head and refused to let go. She continued to clutch the flowers as she walked back to Sandringham House, Mirror reports.

Royal expert Katie Nicholl previously told the Mirror: "Charlotte is the most buoyant and outgoing of the three Cambridge children. It's that strength of character that will stand her in good stead when she's older."

he late Queen once remarked on her great-granddaughter's sweet personality. In 2018, she was presenting a book to 10-year-old school student Emily Clay.

Town & Country reported that when the Queen asked the student if she looked after her younger sister, Emily's mother replied: "It's the other way around." The Queen replied: "It's like that with Charlotte and George".

Charlotte is also protective of her younger sibling Prince Louis. In a photo released by Prince William and Kate Middleton for Charlotte's third birthday, she was seen cradling baby Louis in her lap and placing a sweet kiss on his head.

She also doted on her baby brother in pictures from Louis' christening in 2018. While everyone else was seen to be smiling at the camera, big sister Charlotte seemed to be focused on Louis as she lovingly held his hand.

It seems Louis looks up to his sister too. In 2021, Prince William said the family of five loves to play music in the morning and the kids dance around the house.

He said: "Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything. She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing."
