Yahoo News Producer Nick Weidenfeld Signs With WME (Exclusive)
Emmy-winning TV producer and creator Nick Weidenfeld has signed with WME for representation.
Weidenfeld is currently CEO of Work Friends, which he launched with Tomorrow Studios in 2020. The company focuses on adult animation and produces Max’s series Ten Year Old Tom from creator Steve Dildarian.

Prior to launching Work Friends, Weidenfeld was president of programming for Viceland. During his time at the cable outlet, he developed Viceland’s slate of original programming, including the first TV iteration of Desus and Mero (on which he was an executive producer) and the channel’s first scripted series, What Would Diplo Do?, with James Van Der Beek starring as the famed DJ.
Weidenfeld began his career as head of development at Adult Swim, where he had a hand in launching Rick and Morty and worked on shows including The Boondocks, Metalocalypse, NTSF:SD:SUV and Childrens Hospital. He won two Emmys for outstanding short-form live action program as part of the latter’s producing team.
Following his time at Adult Swim, he moved to Fox and launched ADHD Studios, where he developed a number of animated series (including Lucas Bros. Moving Company and High School USA) for the broadcast network and its then sibling cable channel FX.
