Following a brand’s move to atria Watford, a High Street unit is available for another business to swoop in.

The town’s former Choice store has been placed on the market by commercial property specialists Brasier Freeth.

Its £70,000 per year listing boasts being in a “prominent High Street location” between M&S and Primark and highlights how quickly it has come back on the market after becoming vacant.

The brochure says its rateable value from April 2024 is £33,000, and that the “standard retail unit”, with a ground floor sales floor and basement ancillary areas, will be available for a new brand to take over from mid-July.

Choice's High Street store closed when the brand opened a Choice Fashion & Home Outlet location in atria Watford’s lower mall level last Thursday (June 27).

It joined Peacocks, Bonmarché, Poundland, and Dunelm in the shopping centre’s former John Lewis unit which was divided up after the department store closed in 2020.
