Protesters Block Highway Ramp in St Louis on Eleventh Day of Protests

Protesters blocked a highway entrance ramp in downtown St. Louis on September 25, the eleventh consecutive night of rallies.

Monday night’s protest began with a silent march to police headquarters. Many protesters wore blue tape over their mouths and shirts reading “silence is violence.” Protesters removed the tape and rallied in front of police headquarters before continuing to Busch Stadium, as a baseball game was taking place. Barricades prevented protesters from getting close to the stadium. Protesters then marched east through downtown towards a highway entrance ramp, which they temporarily blocked while linking arms and chanting “Touch one, touch all,” as seen in this footage.

Daily demonstrations began in St. Louis after former police officer Jason Stockley, who is white, was found not guilty in the fatal shooting of Anthony Lamar Smith, who is black. Credit: Twitter/Search4Swag via Storyful
