THERE are new feathers in the cap of a pub in the Cotswolds.

The Feathered Nest, located in Nether Westcote, has had planning granted for eight extra bedrooms.

In addition, the pub has hired a new head chef with an impressive background.

The eight bedrooms will be located in a new standalone property on the site of the venue.

Meanwhile, the new head chef is Renemar Pinedo, who fuses his Caribbean heritage with his training under Ollie Dabbous and Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons to offer a creative take on elevated British menus.

His cuisine showcases Asian and Caribbean influences, along with his passion for fresh seafood and open-grill cooking.

Originally a malthouse, The Feathered Nest currently boasts three AA-Rosette cuisine, four boutique bedrooms and a dog-friendly cottage.

Menus are seasonal and locally sourced, with fish brought in fresh daily and many of the herbs and vegetables grown in the pub garden.
