MEMBERS of the public have been warned not to enter the water by the RNLI whilst lifeguards are assisting with an ongoing incident on Weymouth seafront.

AN RNLI tannoy announcement said: "We advise you do not enter the water as due to an ongoing incident lifeguards are not currently watching the water."

Weymouth Beach and a section of the Esplanade has been closed following a crash at The Nook cocktail bar in Weymouth.

Lifeguards were seen helping to clear the beach so that the air ambulance could safely land.

The air ambulance landed and took off from the beach.
