Darlington has a number of fantastic restaurants and cafes for visitors to enjoy, but reviewers aren’t holding back for this McDonalds venue.

The McDonalds off North Road currently only has two stars, with 28 of the 49 reviews as one-star.

There is no noticeable difference in the menu at the branch but customers have a variety of complaints.

One reviewer described how staff had got his order completely wrong. He drove back to the restaurant and they got his order wrong again.

"Food stone cold"

Another described how the food that is delivered from there is always "stone cold".

Milly J said: "First time going to this one and never again!

"They were getting everyone's orders wrong even mine.

"One person had to ask them lots of times and they still got it wrong.

"The food was cold and half an hour plus for the wait time, never again, avoid."

Darryl S said: "Poor service. Store didn’t have half the dips we’d ordered by the time we’d gotten to the window to collect the food.

"Been trying to get through to the restaurant for an hour now as the big macs I’ve ordered have come with no lettuce but a small mountain of pickles.

"Seems the staff are taking the mick, wouldn’t mind but it’s a paid service and your serving food. Have some standards."

"Worst McDonalds in Darlington"

Gavin D described it as the "worst McDonalds in Darlington".

He said: "Ordered via the app and the food ordered was wrong. I was missing medium fries and the cheeseburger fillings were wrong.

"Even the milkshake was spilling out of the cup. I asked for replacement cheeseburgers the manager refused but they replaced the milkshake.

"I explained that back in the day good customer service would've replaced them but no. I was accused of calling the manager a nasty name which I didn't and the manager said we got CCTV with a nasty grin.

"I said to her you are worst McDonald's in Darlington and surrounding area. Won't be going back. Avoid at all costs."
