A quaint pub nestled into the Essex countryside has been named among the best in the UK. Galvin Green Man is one of the oldest pubs in Essex – dating back 700 years - and it's been awarded a prestigious title.

Galvin Green Man has officially been named the best in the East of England at the National Pub & Bar Awards 2024. Galvin Green Man was also one of 13 pubs to be named as the best in its Region at the National Pub & Bar Awards, which brings together 94 pubs and bars from across the UK, each one having been awarded the title for the best in its county back in April.

The Galvin Green Man is no stranger to awards - it was voted the best pub in the whole of the UK in 2021 and was also named the best in the East of England in 2022. It was opened in 2016 by Michelin-starred, Essex-born brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin.
