Queensland Police Respond After Toddler Injured in Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

A four-month-old baby was taken to Lady Cilento Hospital with severe facial injuries after an alleged domestic violence incident at The Gap on Tuesday, October 17.

Queensland Police Service Regional Duty Officer Daniel Bragg said they were “currently speaking with a member of the family to establish exactly what occurred.”

“We’re lead to believe that just after 6:30, the mother of the child found the child in a distressed state with injuries to his face and immediately called Triple 0 and ambulance and police were dispatched to attend,” Inspector Bragg said.

According to the ABC, the child was undergoing surgery as a result of his injuries. Credit: Queensland Police Service via Storyful
