Yahoo News Quentin Taratino severs ties with Weinstein company
It was inevitable, and now it's official: Quentin Tarantino has severed ties with his long-time collaborator Harvey Weinstein and Miramax following a string of sexual misconduct allegations.
Tarantino confirmed earlier this week that he was looking for a distributor for his next movie – rumoured to be about the notorious Manson Family – and now they've been found.
According to Deadline, Sony Pictures has won the rights to finance and distribute Tarantino's next effort, whose working title is currently #9.

The famed director has given us a few details about the project, insisting that it won't be about serial killer Charles Manson but the year "1969" in general.
It's thought that members of the Manson Family will still be portrayed in the film, and big names like Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt and Samuel L Jackson are rumoured to be attached.
After several allegations of historic sexual misconduct against Weinstein were made public in recent months, the filmmaker conceded he "knew enough to do more than [he] did".

"There was more to it than just the normal rumours, the normal gossip. It wasn't secondhand. I knew he did a couple of these things. I wish I had taken responsibility for what I heard."
Tarantino added: "If I had done the work I should have done then, I would have had to not work with him."
