The countdown is on to general election polling day on July 4.

As the election draws ever closer, Grimsby Live wants to hear from its readers what questions they would like to be put to all candidates in their constituency. A survey on top issues this election has already shaped questions that we put to prime minister Rishi Sunak and Labour Party leader, Sir Keir Starmer during their visits to the region.

Now is the chance to shape questions put to the candidates standing in constituencies across northern Lincolnshire. Redrawn boundaries mean the constituencies up for election this time around are a different complexion from previous general elections.

Grimsby and Cleethorpes are, for the first time, mostly one constituency. There is also Brigg & Immingham, which is where Scartho Ward from Grimsby has wandered off to, and contains areas that were previously in the Cleethorpes and Brigg & Goole constituencies. Scunthorpe now includes more rural areas surrounding the town, while the Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme constituency straddles the border between South Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

If you had the chance to ask all the candidates in your constituency a question to help make up your mind, what would it be? Take part in our survey below, or click here if unable to access it, and the suggestions collated may be among those put to candidates by Grimsby Live.

It has already been an eventful election campaign nationally from Nigel Farage's decision to take over Reform UK's leadership to Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey's series of stunts to highlight topics his party are campaigning on. Locally, Sky News hosted its 'Battle for Number 10' debate with Starmer and Sunak at Grimsby Town Hall on June 12, prompting a flood of national media and politicians to visit the town.

Who knows what the remaining weeks will hold ... do not miss the chance to highlight potential questions to be put to candidates in Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Cleethorpes, and the rest of northern Lincolnshire.
