Buckingham Palace will be a focal point for the UK and the rest of the world during the coronation of King Charles on Saturday, 6 May.

Hundreds of soldiers, including more on horseback, will march down from Buckingham Palace past Trafalgar Square and Downing Street to Westminster Abbey.

Following the coronation ceremony, the King will then take part in the procession back to Buckingham Palace, where he will appear on the balcony for the first time as the newly crowned monarch.

A concert to celebrate the coronation, featuring Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, will take place at Windsor Castle the following day.
