R Kelly's former manager James Mason turns himself in to Georgia police

R Kelly’s former manager has reportedly surrendered to authorities.

James Mason gave himself up in Georgia on Friday, CNN reported citing law enforcement officials.

Mason is accused of threatening the father of Timothy Savage, whose daughter Jocelyn is featured in the six-part Lifetime documentary Surviving R Kelly.

He was wanted on a warrant related to threats he allegedly made against Savage in May 2018.

Savage has accused Kelly of holding his daughter against her will.

The father previously told police that Mason threatened to “harm” him and his family, and threatened to kill him, after Savage attempted to get in touch with his daugher.

According to Savage, Mason called him in the afternoon of 23 May and told him: “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m gonna (expletive) kill you.”

A warrant was later issued for “terroristic threats and acts”.

Savage and his wife Jonjelyn, who appear in Surviving R Kelly, have said that Kelly has brainwashed their daughter and kept her from contacting them.

Surviving R Kelly delves into the accusations of sexual abuse made against the singer over the years.

Kelly has denied any wrongdoing. Despite facing a number of sexual misconduct allegations over the past two decades, he has never been convicted.

Last year, the singer denied accusations of holding young women in an abusive cult.

According to the Lifetime documentary, the Savages' daughter has said several times that Kelly hasn't done anything wrong.

Jocelyn said in a 2017 video published by TMZ that she was "happy".
