Rachel Bilson says she and Rami Malek are ‘all good’ after high school photo incident
Rachel Bilson has said she and Rami Malek are "totally fine now" after she previously revealed he asked her to take down an old high school photo of him.
The O.C. actor shared earlier this year that in 2019 her former classmate at Notre Dame in Sherman Oaks, California, privately contacted her to request the photo of the pair of them as teenagers be taken down from Instagram.
She said on the Armchair Expert podcast last month: “I was like, I guess I should’ve found something more flattering. But I removed it and I even wrote to him a really nice message: ‘I’m so sorry. Go get the Oscar! You’re doing amazing.’
"And I never hear anything back, which is fine.

"But I was super bummed because he was always so nice and we were good friends.”
Now the 39-year-old star has said they have since been in touch to talk about the incident again.
“Rami and I actually have talked since that came out,” she said on the LadyGang podcast.
“He connected with me, and we’re all good. He was so sweet and we’re totally fine now and we talked about it and we’re good.”
She added: “He was so gracious, and I totally understood where he was coming from and he understood me. And I was just so happy we were able to squash it and, like, move on.”
Bilson said the story going on to make headlines had left her with anxiety.

"I was so mortified though. Like, I was having a panic attack," she said.
"I had to go to therapy that day, and I was like, 'I am having anxiety. I did not want this to resurface in this way. I feel so bad. Oh my god. Rami is going to think I'm doing this again.'"
However, she remarked that it was ultimately a "good thing" because it allowed her and Malek to reconnect.
