Terrifying footage shows the moment that two bulls escaped during a tournament in Mexico – goring both spectators and matadors as they rampaged through the crowd.

A waiting cameraman and photographer were among those injured when the animals broke out at the ‘La Chona’ stadium in the town of Encarnación de Díaz, Jalisco as a panicked crowd watched on.

One of the bulls escaped from a holding pen earlier than expected, and charged through the bullring while another attacked spectators behind the fence.

In the harrowing footage, a man is tossed into the ring by the bull’s horns only moments before he is attacked by the other animal.

Spanish matador Adolfo Ramirez was struck in the back by the beasts and suffered bruising to his arms, legs, hands, and a blow to his right cheekbone.

But his injuries were relatively minor when compared to fellow bullfighter Cesar Morales – who was forced to undergo emergency surgery after he was gored in the leg.

One onlooker recalled: ‘It was a really worrying incident as the fourth bull came unexpectedly into the ring and the fifth one got into an enclosure where there was an exit into a packed plaza.

‘There was a great deal of panic and several people received cuts and bruises. The bull was striking everything and everyone in its path.’
