Former Motherwell keeper Liam Kelly is believed to have completed a medical at Rangers as he nears a return to Ibrox.

Kelly, 28, opted not to renew his contract at Fir Park at the end of the season, though he remained at the club for the duration of Scotland's ill-fated spell at the European Championships in Germany.

It was then reported that he had essentially agreed a deal that would take him back to Rangers, where Kelly was a youth player.

And it is now believed that his signing is imminent, with Kelly providing back-up to Jack Butland, with Jon McLaughlin released at the end of his contract and Robby McCrorie heading for the exit, in search of first-team football.

Motherwell, meanwhile, are at their summer training camp in the Netherlands, as they look to further strengthen their squad.
