Rangers transfer news bulletin as Albion Rrahmani ally issues coded clue while Lundstram and Barisic drop clangers

Former Rapid Bucharest star Alexandru Albu reckons his old teammate Albion Rrahmani is destined to sign for a "big team" this summer - as he lifted the lid on what the Rangers target told him about his next move.

The 23-year-old looks set to depart the Romanian side this summer after a successful campaign which has saw the Kosovo international net 17 goals. A move to the Light Blues appeared to be taking a step forward when Ibrox director of football Nils Koppen reportedly held talks with the player's agency at TransferRoom's Mexico convention summit earlier this month.

And Albu - who left the Romanian side at the end of last season - offered an insight on what the in-demand forward wants from his next club. He told Orange Sport that his pal wants to play for a " big team" - could that be the Scottish Premiership giants? The midfielder said: “I am sure that if he leaves, he will go to a big team because he is a valuable player and it is difficult for valuable players to stay in our championship.

Hamza Igamane is expected to be the next man in the door - but Yusuf Kabadayi may not be far behind as he prepares to leave Bayern Munich. Rangers appear to be leading the race - but reports in Turkey reckon Besiktas still have a chance of tempting the forward.

Orta Çizgi report that the club have "evaluated" a potential proposal but are aware of Rangers interest. It is said they are "working" on a deal but are considering other options with the 21-year-old inching closing to an Ibrox contract.

“Here, it matters a lot what the player decides, not just the club, because the player is also eager for affirmation and is eager to show that he is a top footballer. (Rrahmani) wants to reach as high as possible. This is what he told me, that he wants to reach a top team. Meaning top ten (in Europe).”

Elsewhere, John Lundstram and Borna Barisic have gave the game away before their official Trabzonspor unveiling. The duo left Rangers at the end of their contracts - but are set to reunite in the Super Lig.

Reports in Turkey suggest the pair will be announced as Trabzonspor players next week - but appear to have unoffically announced their arrival in the Turkish press. The duo have been snapped holding up their new kits during media appearances with Ajansspor.
