'Raw' 2018 true crime documentary rockets to the top of the Netflix charts

A BBC true crime documentary from 2018 has shot to the top of the Netflix charts in the UK.

Car Crash: Who's Lying investigates the story of 19-year-old Luke Fletcher who was killed in a devastating crash in Hampshire. A vehicle colliding into a tree, it looks yet another tragic accident at first. But as the police investigation gets under way, a dark mystery emerges.

Police bodycam footage of the crash site takes viewers to the aftermath of a catastrophic collision. A dazed man stumbles from the car unharmed telling the on-duty sergeant he was the driver. As more details emerge and the young man, Dannylee, comes under police scrutiny, it's clear the events of that night have changed their friendship group forever.

Emotional interviews from the family members and friends of the gravely injured teens highlight what they believe happened that night, but the only ones who know the true story are those who were in the in car that January night in 2016. As their stories change, conflicting testimonies emerge and rumours spread amongst the community. It's down to the police to unpick the mystery of what really went on that night.
