Reacher Dominates Nielsen Streaming Top 10 Ranking, on Track for Beefier Season 2

Reacher easily muscled its to to the top of Nielsen’s latest U.S. ranking of streaming originals.

With the release of its first three Season 2 episodes, Prime Video’s adaptation of the Lee Child novels racked up 1.7 billion minutes viewed across 10 total available episodes for the week of Dec. 11.

Nielsen notes that Reacher‘s series debut on the Jan. 31, 2022 streaming chart amassed 1.8 billion minutes, but that was for a full-season binge drop.

Nielsen also reports that the already-renewed Reacher‘s audience is 58% male, and two-thirds of its viewers are age 50+.

Coming in second on Nielsen’s latest U.S. ranking of streaming originals was Netflix’s The Crown (with 1.2 billion minutes viewed/63 total episodes), followed by Netflix’s recently renewed My Life With the Walter Boys (1.1 billion minutes/10 episodes), Netflix’s Obliterated (729 million minutes/eight episodes) and the previous week’s champ Netflix’s Squid Game: The Challenge (431 million minutes/10 episodes).

Rounding out the Top 10 for the week of Dec. 11 were School Spirits (425 million minutes viewed across Netflix and Paramount+), followed by four Netflix entries: Virgin River (398 million minutes/54 episodes), Yu Yu Hakasho (343 million minutes/five episodes), World War II: From the Frontlines (325 million minutes/six episodes) and Sweet Home (282 million minutes/18 episodes).
