Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Dorit and PK Kemsley have officially announced their separation after nine years of marriage. The couple, who are both part of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast, revealed the news on social media.

In a joint statement shared on Dorit's Instagram Story, she wrote: "We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together.

"To safe guard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritise our children."

The statement concluded: "We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey."

Dorit and PK's marital problems were a key storyline in the most recent season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with the couple's relationship clearly feeling the strain in recent months. Dorit joined the main cast in 2016 and has remained a central figure for seven seasons.

In November, Dorit Kemsley opened up about her marriage on Page Six's Virtual Reali-tea podcast, where she acknowledged some difficulties but dismissed the idea of an impending divorce. "It's not like we're heading to divorce court, but we were disconnected," she confessed.

Dorit also expressed how unusual the feeling of disconnection was for her and her husband PK, saying: "PK and I, we really are very co-dependent and connected. So it's the first time in the 13 years we've been together that we felt this disconnect,".

The couple, who have two children, Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, eight, faced a harrowing ordeal in 2021 when their Encino, California home was burgled by armed robbers, with the thieves taking items worth approximately $1 million.
