Classic 90s gameshow The Crystal Maze is set to be brought back with an “immersive” new venue in London.

Earlier in the year, it was announced that a crowdfunding project had been launched to create a replica of the programme’s set.

Ben Hodges, 29, Dean Rodgers, 25, and Tom Lionetti-Maguire, 28, who led the campaign, raised £930,000 in just four weeks – and have now announced ticket details.

Today, the trio confirmed the purchase of a 30,000 sq ft venue between Kings Cross and Angel, north London.

It will be open to the public from March 15, 2016. Tickets costs £50 per person and go on sale today.

Those who gave to the Crowdfunding campaign are given first refusal.

True to the Channel 4 show, customers will be able to explore four ‘zones’ — Aztec, Medieval, Industrial and Futuristic.

They will be accompanied by their own quizmaster, famously played by Richard O’Brien in the TV show.

According to The Evening Standard, designer Steve Scott – who worked on films such as Titanic and Die Another Day – will create the space.

The TV show’s creator Malcolm Hayworth and rights holder Zodiak Rights are also on board.

Mr Lionetti-Maguire told the paper: “It has been non-stop working on this for six months. I think people may have seen the crowd funding campaign back in June and then heard nothing and assumed it had all fizzled out.

“It has taken us by surprise how much people seem to be behind the idea. It shows how many people were fans of it and how much of a demand there is so something different to do in London.”

At the height of its popularity, the show attract up to six million viewers.

Tickets are available here.
