Real Madrid will seek to remain to of La Liga tonight as they host Leganes at the Bernabeu.

Julen Lopetegui has two wins from his opening two league games in the Real hotseat, with Los Blancos ahead of champions Barcelona on goal difference.

Leganes are yet to win this season, but a spirited fightback to earn a 2-2 draw with Real Sociedad will send them to the Spanish capital in a confident mood.

The two sides have met sixes times, with Real winning five of those.

Leganes secured a shock 2-1 Copa del Rey win at the Bernabeu back in January, though Real won the last meeting 2-1 at home in April.

Julen Lopetegui is happy with the state of his Real Madrid squad as Mariano Diaz is primed to make his second debut against Leganes.

Diaz is back at the Bernabeu just 12 months after joining Lyon, returning for 30million euros (£27million) and taking Cristiano Ronaldo's number seven shirt.

Lopetegui confirmed there would be no other arrivals on the European transfer deadline day.

Leganes, managed by former Southampton boss Mauricio Pellegrino, are unable to pick Madrid loanees Andriy Lunin and Oscar Rodriguez to play against their parent club, while Ezequiel Munoz is a doubt.
