Reality star Spencer Matthews forced to hide in jeweller's vault during armed robbery
Made in Chelsea cast member Spencer Matthews got a nasty shock when visiting a Marylebone jeweller today, as a moped gang burst into the shop.
The reality star was visiting The Hour House in London to pick up a vintage watch when thieves entered the store.
In a series of videos uploaded to his Instagram story, the 30-year-old said he had to hide in the building’s vault while the shop was “smashed to pieces”. Three men have been arrested.

Matthews added: “I was picking up a vintage piece I've been waiting on for ages when they drove a scooter through the glass and started battering the shop with huge hammers wearing helmets.
“We were in the back of the shop so we sprinted downstairs and hid in the vault until the noise passed.”
He said that, when the guests returned, it was only his watch that had not been stolen.
The socialite said the shop was “just battered” when the customers emerged from the vault, but said his watch had miraculously survived.
He added: “Lo and behold, on the floor amongst all the rubble, the glass and stuff, was one watch in the entire shop and it's mine.
"Now if that's not luck I don't know what is."

Witnesses told BBC News they had seen a group of men on mopeds and at least one had a machete.
Armed police attended the scene, but no arrests were made.
Scotland Yard also said a man in his thirties had been treated for eye injuries as a result of smashed glass.
Matthews is the Eton-educated third son of landowner David Matthews.
He rose to fame as part of the inaugural cast of reality series Made in Chelsea, appearing in the first 10 seasons between 2011 and 2015, as well as winning The Jump.
He has been married to model Vogue Williams since June 2018.
