This year’s Red Nose Day (today, Friday 24 March) is all about your power to make the world a better place, simply by having a great time. Thats right - not by sweating it out running a marathon or waxing your chest to raise money - by enjoying yourself.

Comic Relief has teamed up with Givergy, the global leader in fundraising technology, to offer up over 20 remarkable celebrity, film and television experiences and items as money-can’t-buy auction items and prize draws.

Prizes up for grabs include a backstage chat with Ed Sheeran (after he gifts you his guitar after watching one of his shows, naturally), awing at art at the Tate Modern with Gillian Anderson, and - this is the big one – meeting ALL of the doctors of Dr Who over breakfast (yes, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi will meet to break bread and talk Tardis).

Emma Freud, one of the founders of Red Nose Day, says: “This may seriously be the most exciting auction and prize draw of all time, only Comic Relief could have put it together. It is cheeky and unique – and every single one of the items available has something extraordinary about it.”

Over 18 of these amazing experiences will also be up for grabs as part of a very special series of prize draws, so if bidding isn’t your thing, by donating just £5 you can enter online to be in with a chance of bagging yourself a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The auction is live now, at givergy.com/rednoseday and the money raised will go to Red Nose Day to help make a huge difference to people living incredibly tough lives both here in the UK, and across the world’s poorest communities.

Trailblazing auction-technology provider Givergy leads the way in equipping charities such as Comic Relief with everything they need to maximise the money they raise. Founded in 2009, Givergy’s ambition was then and remains simple: to help non-profits reach a wider audience, maximise global awareness and raise more funds for their fantastic - and diverse - causes.

And causes don’t come much worthier than those supported by Comic Relief. By bidding in an auction to finally learn to cook, courtesy of a private session with Jamie Oliver, you’ll be helping to change lives. Comic Relief spends the money raised to help the people who really need it most, both here in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest communities.

So go on, have a look at the auction lots, decide between a Skype with Little Mix or bagging a part in Richard Curtis’s next movie, and get pledging. This Red Nose make your laugh matter by doing whatever you enjoy to raise life-changing cash.
