Residents of Jenkins, Kentucky, Grapple With Aftermath of Deadly Flooding

Historic flash flooding hit parts of Kentucky on Thursday, July 28, killing at least 16 people and damaging homes and vehicles.

This footage uploaded to Twitter by user @babb1ing_br00ke shows floodwaters flowing through streets in Jenkins, in Letcher County, as a truck tries to drive through the floods.

At least two people died in Letcher County due to the flooding, Gov Andy Beshear said.

The National Weather Service issued warnings of possible flash flooding in east and southeast Kentucky on Friday as well, and urged residents to move to higher ground and avoid walking or driving through floodwaters. Credit: @babb1ing_br00ke via Storyful
