Yahoo News New restaurant offering 'late night refreshments' wants to open on marina strip
A proposal has been submitted to Hartlepool Council for a new restaurant at 19 Navigation Point on Hartlepool Marina.
The application outlines plans for a dining area with approximately 100 seats and a bar serving both soft and alcoholic beverages. The proposed licensing agreement would permit the sale of alcohol from noon until midnight daily, aligning with the establishment's operating hours.
Additionally, the restaurant seeks permission to offer "late night refreshment", which includes the sale of hot food and drinks after 11pm, until midnight. The application also mentions that recorded music will be played at a low volume to allow patrons to converse comfortably.
Submitted by Mohamed Ikram Ahmed, the proposal includes measures such as regular staff training, CCTV coverage, alarms, soundproof doors and policies including Challenge 25 to ensure compliance with licensing regulations. The location was previously occupied by restaurants like Jack Rabbit Slims and Lucifer Sam's.
