Garcelle Beauvais and Dorit Kemsley had a tense conversation on Wednesday's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,

In the episode's closing moments, the pair sat down for an awkward dinner where Garcelle, 57, confronted Dorit, 47, over her using the word “attacked” towards her during a discussion at Crystal Kung Minkoff’s house.

“The other night the word attack just hit me in the wrong place,” Garcelle began. “There are certain words when you point them at me it has a complete different impact. There are three words you don’t say to Black women. You don’t say aggressive, you don’t say attack and you don’t say angry, because that’s labeling us.”

Garcelle continued, “What I feel is there’s a pattern with you that I don’t know whether you’re aware or not, but I’m just going to be completely blunt, it feels like an unconscious Karen behavior with you.”

Switching to a confessional, a shocked Dorit said, “This is a very, very serious, dangerous accusation. It’s hurtful, and that accusation holds a lot of implications and I’m not feeling comfortable with this at all.”

Dorit then asked Garcelle how she feels she behaves in that way, to which Garcelle recalled a conversation between them two years earlier. “We’ve had a lot of people that have worked for us who are very multicultural," Dorit said in the chat, footage of which played in Wednesday's episode. "I’ve had a lot of Black and Hispanic and Filipino.”

“But Is there brown people only helping at your house?” asked Garcelle.

“No, in fact my mother’s best friend is Black,” replied Dorit.

“Awesome, I just wanted to clarify that,” responded Garcelle.

Switching back to the present day, Garcelle asked Dorit, “Has there been growth since the last time you were like, ‘People of color have worked for you?’ ”

“I don’t know why you keep raising this,” said Dorit.

“Because it feels like to me … I don't know,” continued Garcelle.

“What does it feel like?" Dorit asked. "That I’m racist?”

“I’m not labelling you,” responded Garcelle.

“There is an implication here,” added Dorit.

“You know what, if there’s a racist undertone, that’s not my fault. I’m not calling you anything,” said Garcelle.

“If it’s simply about me using a word that triggered you, if that’s what this is about, then I’m apologizing but it sounds like there is something more,” continued Dorit.

Garcelle then explained that Dorit has “been getting under my skin.” She told Dorit: “I think with the things you say and how you say them and the last straw was you saying that I attacked you. I don’t know how we’re going to move forward but I’m going to try because I don’t hate you, I just feel like I needed to say what happened the other day really triggered me and it really bothered me. “

Apologizing, Dorit responded, “I’m very sorry that it triggered you and it hurt you. And I mean that genuinely. And i would never want to hurt anyone intentionally.”

“I believe that, said Garcelle. “I just think the choice of words was horrible.”

In a confessional, Dorit admitted, “This was a learning lesson for me. I was unaware and I know now I need to be more aware of what I’m saying and who I’m saying it to.”

In the Bravo show’s previous episode, Dorit said Garcelle “attacked” her after Garcelle told her she was purposefully trying to embarrass Sutton Stracke by revealing she had made out with her driver to the group.

Garcelle then said in a confessional, “Dorit lives in a bit of a bubble, just triggers me. We live in a world now where we’re woke, whatever you want to say, and I feel like she’s not in that world.”

“Just for the record, I didn’t attack you, we were having a conversation,” Garcelle told Dorit, who asked, “What’s a good word? What’s a better word?”

“I don’t know what a good word is but I feel like for you and your privilege, I can’t.”

A visibly shocked Dorit responded, “What does that mean?”

Erika Jayne then interjected, “It means you’re White and the words are different. They have different connotations, they have different meanings.”
