Fans of Rick and Morty have received the first trailer for the upcoming spinoff Rick and Morty: The Anime which sees the beloved adult animation characters reimagined in an anime-animation style. Premiering August 15 on Adult Swim, the new addition to the franchise explores an anime multiverse where the same intergalactic hijinks ensue.

The trailer gives fans glimpses of the series with plenty of fighting, mishaps and funny moments that define the franchise. In addition to the Smith family, fan-favorite side characters appear in their new styles like Space Beth, Birdperson, President Curtis and Mr. Nimbus.

The show's overview teases what's to come stating, “In this 10-episode anime series from the world of Rick and Morty, Rick relaxes in a pseudo-world between multiverses, Summer helps Space Beth fight the evil Galactic Federation, and Morty falls in love with a mysterious girl who happens to be an atemporal being.”

The previous two previews for the show showed fans two scenes to be featured this season. The first shows Morty becoming a hero of an alien planet when he strikes down an invading space ship and the second shows the Smith house being invaded by MIB-like agents before Jerry saves the day.

To bring the excitement to life, the "Rickmobile" will make stops in select US cities for an "all anime-can tour." Fans will be able to watch the first episode of the series and gain access to exclusive merch and photo ops.

The anime is set to premiere on Adult Swim on August 15 and the next day on Max. You can watch the trailer for Rick and Morty: The Anime above and see details for the "all anime-can tour" here.
