The Bajan popstar was due to play dates in both Cardiff and Sunderland however, has cancelled them with fans being notified via email.

Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light wrote on their website that the cancellation was due to “logistical reasons beyond the tour’s control”.

“Unfortunately this is something that can happen with major tours and naturally we are sorry for those concert-goers who were looking forward to the show,” they posted.

It’s also rumoured that her Coventry show is due to be cancelled, however, this is unconfirmed at this time.

The news comes just hours after supposed ‘production problems’ halted the start of the tour which was due to kick off in the US later this month.

Instead, the ANTI world tour start date has shifted to March 12.

This week Rihanna’s scheduled performance at the Grammys was cancelled with her spokesperson citing severe bronchitis behind the decision to pull out last minute.

Her spokesperson said at the time: “Based on Rihanna’s examination, after Grammy rehearsal today, Rihanna’s doctor put her on vocal rest for 48-hours because she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal chords.

"The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately, therefore she cannot perform safely.”

The 27-year-old singer later posted an apology to her fans for missing the show.

She tweeted: “#NAVY so sorry I couldn’t be there ….. Thanks Grammys and CBS for your support tonight.”

Rihanna is yet to comment on these latest changes.
