Rihanna has revealed that she’s officially a Londoner after moving from the US to the UK earlier this year, and her fans in the capital can barely contain their excitement.

In an interview with the New York Times, the singer said that she had moved to London to be closer to the team of her make-up company Fenty, who are based in France and Italy where they produce the products.

Asked what she appreciates about London, Rihanna replied: Walking around the block,” although she admitted that she has to do it incognito.

The interviewer expressed their shock that she was able to walk around freely, especially since they had to shut down part of Shoreditch just to conduct the interview.

But the singer admitted: “No! This is not a regular day in London. It’s a bank holiday. Everyone’s out. It’s insane.

The popstar also revealed that she likes to visit a ‘cute little Jamaican market’ near her home, which will undoubtedly have fans scouring the city.

“The world can really make you believe that the wrong things are priority, and it makes you really miss the core of life, what it means to be alive. It could literally be walking outside in the sun,” she said.

“That makes me happy. Like going to the grocery store — you know, there’s a cute little Jamaican market near where I live right now.”

Since the interview was published, her London-based fans have been sharing their excitement on Twitter, with many now understanding why a Sainsbury’s bag was spotted in a recent picture the star shared.
