Ring of Honor presents Death Before Dishonor, its first pay-per-view since AEW boss Tony Khan purchased the company in February 2022.
In April, the company returned from a three-month hiatus with Supercard of Honor, their final event before Khan's purchase of the company was finalised.
At Supercard of Honor, ROH effectively hit the reset button, with AEW's Samoa Joe returning to the company, FTR capturing the World Tag Team Championship, and Jonathan Gresham being crowned the undisputed ROH World Champion.

Death Before Dishonor will see Gresham defend his World Championship against Claudio Castagnoli, the former Cesaro in WWE.
Castagnoli made his name in ROH before he signed with WWE, but he was never able to capture the top championship.
The show will also feature FTR putting their Tag Team Championship on the line against former champs The Briscoes in a two out of three falls match.
