Severe Rainfall Prompts Red Alert in Northern Italy

A red alert was in place for much of northern Italy on May 13 following severe rainfall in the region.

Parts of the Emilia-Romagna region were submerged after the Savio river burst its banks, prompting the rescue of a disabled person and their carer stranded in a house.
