A lifeboat station is to host an antiques roadshow to raise funds.

Staff from Dawson Auctioneers will be at the event to give free valuations of people's treasures in return for a £5 donation per item to the RNLI.

Shoreham Harbour Lifeboat Station in Brighton Road is holding its RNLI Antiques Roadshow on July 27.

Tickets are free but need to be booked in advance, with each ticket giving people a 15-minute consultation with one of the experts.

They can be booked at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/rnli-antiques-roadshow-tickets-851446167407.

People should take only three items per each consultation and should book more tickets if they have more items.

Those who want to auction their goods and give the proceeds to the RNLI can have this organised free of charge through Dawsons.

A spokesman for Shoreham RNLI said: "In a year when the RNLI celebrates 200 years of lifesaving history, Shoreham Lifeboat Station invites you to have your own treasurers valued to help us raise funds to save more lives at sea - just like the much-loved BBC television show."
