Many roads in downtown Ottawa and elsewhere will be closed Sunday morning for a cycling event to support oncology patients at the local children's hospital.

The closures and lane reductions will last from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the CN Cycle For CHEO's website. Some roads may open earlier or later, depending on when it's safe to do so.

The event includes a 15K, 35K and 70K cycle, all of which will kick off at LeBreton Flats and will be staggered throughout the morning. There will also be a 5K and 2K walk.
