Rob Kardashian is the lesser-known member of the Kardashian clan and the only son of Kris Jenner and the late and famous celebrity lawyer Robert Kardashian Snr, who died in 2003 after losing his battle with cancer when Rob was just 14 years old.

Rob, 30, rose to fame appearing on E! reality series Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but also runs his own sock line Arthur George – named after his middle name and grandfather’s name.

The TV star has suffered from depression, became a recluse in 2013, ballooned in weight and was diagnosed with diabetes and now his tumultuous relationship with the mother of his daughter Dream, Blac Chyna, has grabbed headlines yet again.

Rob hit a new low this week after Instagram took down his account following his act of revenge porn in which he shared pictures of Chyna’s vagina and her naked bum to his millions of followers.

But it’s not the first time he’s used social media as a weapon for revenge. He previously slammed his ex-Rita Ora on Twitter calling her a cheat and also tweeted his sister Kylie Jenner’s phone number after she failed to invite Chyna to a baby shower held for their child.

So who is Rob Kardashian and how did he get to where he is today?

Rob on Keeping Up With The Kardashians

Nobody knew the impact the E! reality series would have on the family of Robert Kardashian Snr – who was the first famous Kardashian after he defended his friend OJ Simpson at his murder trial – or how it would revolutionise the way TV is made and consumed over the next decade.

Kim Kardashian West and their mother Kris have steered the reality TV and social media ship for the whole family, and they’ve raked in a sizzling $122.5 million combined last year.

They didn’t do it by just sitting around on their humongous behinds for the cameras. Kendal is a highly sought after model, Kylie is the face of a beauty brand empire, Kourtney is blazing a trail for single mothers – while her on/off partner Scott Disick is having flings with other women – and Khloe has her own fitness line, jeans brand and is forever on the hunt for a man to put a ring on it.

Aside from their headline grabbing personal dramas, absolutely all of them are killing it in the style stakes and are paid a mint to promote various brands through their social networking accounts.

Initially, Rob seemed to be a reality tv natural too. The public loved him when he went on Dancing With The Stars in 2011 and came second on the talent show proving he’s likeable.

Fast forward to 2013 and Rob’s life is a completely different story. He’s gained 100lbs, is suffering from depression and his fans are beginning to wonder if he’s suicidal.

Rob dates Rita Ora

The former lovers met while Rita Ora – who used to be managed by Jay Z’s Roc Nation – was in Los Angeles working on her album and there are different reports regarding how long Rob dated the star. Some say two months, others insist it was at least 12. What is undisputable, is in December 2012, Rob took his broken heart onto Twitter and accused the British singer of cheating on him “with 20 dudes”.

Rita hit back at his comments, denying that they were ever officially a couple and telling The Sunday Telegraph’s Sunday Style magazine. “You should have to sit an exam before you go on Twitter. To see if you’re mentally stable.”

Rob becomes a recluse, battles depression, gains weight and is diagnosed with diabetes

Rob retreated from the public eye in 2013 for almost 18 months amid reports he was battling severe depression and gained more than 100 pounds, and was barely seen in episodes of KUWTK.

His sister Khloé believed Rob ‘s suffering had a lot to do with the fact he “doesn’t have a father figure in his life,” after their dad Robert died and their step-father Caitlyn Jenner transitioned into a woman in 2015.

Rob once had a close relationship with Khloé’s estranged husband and basketball star Lamar Odom, whom she split from in December 2013, but she added: “Once Lamar left–and it’s not Lamar’s fault at all–I think Rob didn’t know where to go. He was like, ‘I don’t have guidance anymore. [ Rob ] has to figure it out for himself. And he has so many people who want to help him.”

The star also sparked fears he was contemplating suicide following his split from Blac Chyna at the end of 2016 and the police were asked to pay a visit to the once-reclusive sock designer after he began to document his depressive state on his Snapchat account.

The story featured in an episode of KUWTK in April when Rob’s sister Kim said: “Rob started Snapchatting his thoughts and his feelings, and that’s really not like him.” Kim, his mother Kris Jenner’s boyfriend Corey Gamble paid him a visit and said they were concerned for his welfare, explaining his followers on the social media site also thought he was “suicidal.”

Rob meets Blac Chyna

Rob met the exotic dancer and model through his sister Kylie’s ex-boyfriend Tyga – who fathered her first child King Cairo.

The pair hit it off and she became pregnant and E! producers signed up the couple for their own reality show.

It was reported that Rob called his daughter Dream because he always wanted a child and everything was going well between Rob and Chyna following the arrival of their little girl on November 10, 2016.

Rob took to social media to share his excitement at Dream’s birth, writing Instagram: “Today was amazing. I am so lucky!! Thank you @blacchyna for having our baby and being so strong!

“I love you so much and can’t wait to see her get older day by day with you Chy! I love you and Dream so much and Appreciate both of you. I know everyone saying that’s my twin but that’s def your nose Chy lol (sic)”

Kris has also has found hope in Rob’s future since he became a dad, telling reporters: “The baby is so fabulous. He’s so nurturing, and he’s such a care giver and such a sweet man. It’s really been such a joy to watch him go through this.”

Dream gets her own Instagram account

The baby was soon set to work promoting her father’s business and was pictured modelling Rob’s sock line on her own Instagram page.

A video of the little tot wearing a pair of socks from Rob’s Arthur George line was captioned: “I love my new @ArthurGeorge87 socks from daddy!!! @robkardashian.”

And Rob’s sister Kylie Jenner said she gets emotional seeing pictures of Rob and Dream together.
She said: “The photos with Rob and his daughter literally make me want to cry. All the photos make me want to cry – the family photos, the photos of just her, but it’s really sweet. She’s so cute.”
