Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark address 'funny' romance rumours

Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark have addressed speculation about the nature of their friendship.

During Wednesday's episode of the Table Manners podcast with co-hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware, the Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour stars responded to reports that they began dating while filming their travel show.

"I find it funny. Because I adore him. But we are like a married couple - we row all the time and we don't have sex," Rylan joked. "We're two gay guys. We're two divorced guys. And we're two guys that clearly get on so well."

He continued, "This one doesn't help when we're in a vineyard in Florence, putting a tweet up of us two in a vineyard looking at each other and going, 'I said yes,' or whatever the f**k it was. So that started it.

"I've got family members messaging me, going, 'I'm so happy for you. You deserve happiness.' And I'm like, 'Robert! What have you done?'"

The Judge Rinder star fuelled the speculation on Sunday when he shared a photo of the duo in a vineyard on X/Twitter and wrote in the caption, "'Friendship may and often does, grow into love.' Byron .."

The co-presenters attended the TV BAFTAs together later that evening.

Previously, Rob pranked the press into thinking he and Rylan were engaged in June last year. In his fake engagement announcement, he joked, "Elton's set at Glastonbury has inspired us to tie the knot. I (love) @Rylan."

Addressing the gossip further on the podcast, the former Strictly contestant said, "There's something slightly limited... that when you have a platonic friendship, the greatest Greek form of love, where there's real connection between you, people want to plant sex on top of it."

Rylan shut down the speculation more directly on X earlier this week, writing, "The answer is no. I'm not dating Rob Rinder he's one of my closest friends."
