'Robber’ charged with murder of dad who was mowed down by car in Erith

A man has been charged with the murder of a dad who died in 2020 when he was mowed down by his own car in Erith.

Marc Allen was run over by his own car during an incident on Peareswood Road at around 3am on December 29, 2019.

The 51-year-old was taken to King’s College Hospital where he died almost a month later on January 29, 2020.

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death was a head injury.

Four years later a man has been charged with his murder.

Errol Woodger, 37, of Mottisfont Road in Abbey Wood, will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (June 20).

Woodger is also charged with robbery in relation to the same incident.

A statement from Marc’s family previously described him as a “beloved” part of their family and a “dear friend”.
