Robbers steal entire till after shop staff refuse to hand over cash

Police are appealing for information after an entire till was stolen from a shop in Kidderminster. Two robbers, believed to be men, entered H&C store on Severn Grove with their faces covered.

They demanded cash and when shop staff refused to hand any over, they made off with the whole till instead. Police say that the pair were wearing grey tracksuits, one with a black jacket and one with a grey and black jacket at the time of the ordeal.

One of the men was holding a Matalan bag for life as he entered the shop just before 9.30am on Thursday, April 18, West Mercia Police has said. A spokesperson for the force added: "Officers are appealing for anybody who has information following the robbery of a shop in Kidderminster on Thursday 18 April.

"The incident happened around 9.25am at the H & C store on Severn Grove in the town when two suspects, thought to be men, entered the store holding a Matalan bag for life. They demanded money from the till and when a member of staff refused, they removed the whole till from the shop and left towards Jubilee Drive.

"Both suspects are described as wearing grey tracksuits, one with a black jacket and one with a grey and black jacket. Both had their faces covered."
